“Hysterical Girls Mob Danny Kaye”

LONDON, June 12 (A.A.P.) – Hundreds of people mobbed Danny Kaye when he arrived at Manchester airport today.
Danny escaped, only to find 1,000 people, mostly girls, waiting for him at his hotel. The crowd became hysterical at the sight of him.
Danny’s car circled the hotel twice trying to reach the main entrance and eventually the comedian slipped into the back of the hotel. He then entertained the crowd for a few minutes from a balcony.
