“Danny Kaye Soon To Make Movie”

HOLLYWOOD – For years Danny Kaye has been giving his services away for free – to
scores of charities, including UNICEF, Musicians’ Pension Funds, the Israeli Symphony
Young Orchestra, etc. In other words, Danny has raised more than $10 million in the
past three years for charity. It’s reasonable, therefore, that he should now earn
some money for Danny Kaye – which is exactly what he’s doing via his one-
Danny is like a kid these days and the thing that excites him most (aside from cooking a Chinese dinner for some friends) is his first movie in five years, “The Madwoman of Chaillot,” which he recently finished filming in Europe. He plays a very sympathetic and dramatic role – that of the ragpicker – and Commonwealth United which produced “The Madwoman of Chaillot,” is rushing the film out in December so Danny can qualify for this year’s Oscar sweepstakes.
